Naag Devta

The eighth deity that we worship is Naag Devta.

Naag devata is the God of snakes. Wherever Mariamma resides, Naag Devata is always seen above Her head providing shelter. According to legend, Naag devata sprayed his venom on Mother’s skin to protect Her honor as a woman when She was being disrobed, during meditation, by demons.

Naag devata protects his devotees from enemies and all demons.
